Before building custom agents, many enterprises already have a strong place to start: Microsoft’s out-of-the-box Dynamics 365 agents. These built-in agents bring AI closer to where work actually happens, reducing repeated manual effort across sales, service, finance, operations, and onboarding workflows.
They help ease everyday friction, from lead follow-up and supplier coordination to reconciliation prep, order validation, and anomaly review, making them a practical first layer of operational AI inside Dynamics 365. Because they are native to the Microsoft ecosystem, they are also closer to the data, workflow context, and user experience.
But built-in does not always mean complete. Most enterprises still need extensions shaped around their rules, approvals, KPIs, and industry needs.
